CGI?

I've been producing computer generated imagery (CGI) for the last four years, and I work as a CG artist for a visualisation studio.

My interest in CGI really took off when I realized how close it is in many ways to photography. And in particular how similar it is in principal to my own artwork.

Much of my regular artwork involves constructing real miniature three dimensional models, then lighting and photographing them, to produce a final image.

The process of producing CGIs is essentially the same but done 'virtually' on the computer. Freeing me from all limits of the real world, in terms of scale, lighting, time, materials and money.
